SYDNEY FILM SCHOOL (SFS)
Sydney Film School is a premier creative institute for emerging filmmakers, using 16mm film & digital technologies. Established in a spacious warehouse by a team of award winning filmmakers and educators, the School is governed by a Board of international professionals and leading industry representatives.
Sydney Film School offers VETAB & AUSTUDY approved qualifications devised by CREATE (the Film, Television and Radio Industry Advisory Body). Courses include:
- Diploma of Screen CUF50401 (one year full time, two years part time)
- Certificate IV in Screen CUF40401 (one semester full time, one year part time)
Both qualifications teach film production through hands-on & theory based training. The school operates as a production house where students produce group projects.
Uni Pathways
Graduates of the Sydney Film School Diploma of Screen may be eligible for entry to undergraduate and postgraduate studies at several Universities, including The University of Sydney.
CELEBRATION OF FILM & MUSIC
On Wednesday 3 March 2010 at 6pm, Sydney Film School (SFS) will screen 10 short films at the Australian Institute of Music (AIM) as part of a very special AIM/SFS screening night.
All the films screened have been made by SFS students with the music composed by students at AIM - the major independent music-education provider in Australia.
The screenings will take place at AIM (1 - 51 Foveaux St, Darlingurst) with SFS filmmakers and AIM composers in attendance.
Entry is FREE and all are welcome!
