ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIPS
UTS offers a 5 year Bachelor of Engineering/Diploma in Engineering Practice with a variety of majors. You can specialise or broaden your studies by completing a sub-major or electives. Options include language studies, international studies, computing sciences, design, law, business and science as well as specialist engineering fields such as biomedical, mechatronics or materials science.
UTS:Engineering Undergraduate Scholarships are unique, because most are sponsored by industry partners. This means you not only receive a financial stipend during your first year, but you also typically undertake one year of stimulating work experience with your sponsor, a high profile professional engineering company, giving you ‘real world’ experience. This combination of industry sponsorship and experience gives UTS: Engineering scholars a head start in developing professional contacts, and puts them in very high demand for employment after they graduate.
A number of scholarships target young women & those from rural & regional areas.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN AND CLOSE FRIDAY 2 OCTOBER 2009.
> Interviews – held on Tuesday 1 December 2009. Interviews for Equity Scholarships will take place in January/February 2010.
> Offers – Provisional offers are expected to be made in December 2009. Confirmation of provisional offers are made after notification of HSC results.
