MEDICAL RESEARCH CAREERS SEMINAR

This half-day event is designed to educate secondary school students on the broad scope of careers available in the field of medical research and to entice enthusiastic students to the field.

Interested in being at the fore front of medical research - part of a research team studying cancer, stem cell biology, AIDS or heart disease? Do you watch CSI? Enjoy forensics? Students in Yrs 10-12 can find out more about the different career paths available in the field of Medical Research by attending this Seminar hosted by the AUSTRALIAN SOCIETY FOR MEDICAL RESEARCH. There will be presentations by a number of speakers currently working in the field including research assistants, PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, academics and scientists from industry.

Date: Thursday 4 June 2009, 10am to 12 noon
Venue: Coles Lecture Theatre, Power House Museum, Harris St Ultimo
