SISTER2sister PROGRAM
Life Changing Experiences offers mentoring & personal success development to teenage girls 13-18 yrs in need of support, inspiration & opportunity in their lives.
The SISTER2sister program takes in up to 50 at risk teenage girls per year from the Sydney metropolitan area, along with their respective Big Sister Mentors. Each of the girls in the program is assigned a Big Sister mentor as a positive female role model to provide support, guidance and advice, where needed, throughout the 12 month program.
This program benefits 'at risk' teenage youth primarily through breaking the cycle of poverty, trauma and suffering. Participants develop an increased confidence in themselves and their abilities to have greater control over their lives and futures.
Girls nominated for the program must be:
• Between the ages of 13 and 18 years old
• Disadvantaged and/or underprivileged
• Enrolled at school at the time of nomination
